Vintage wooden modernist rolling storage unit side table with drawers for craft arts or sewing

Amazing handmade piece, beautifully constructed and designed - nice storage space, safe top with a lip and castors top easily move it about.

Made from solid wood, it has a nice heft to it will keep your things safe! Painted in an off white, with the handles left in dark wood tone. The drawers swing out nicely and are kept in place with a simple ball mechanism. There is one deep shelf on one side and two shallow ones on the opposite.
We reckon it’s from the late 60s / 70s.

The castors are designed a bit like a cart, with the middle two being slightly lower than the side ones - so when it is moved you just lift the bottom end up slightly and wheel it along. This also means it doesn't move easily when knocked on the ground. Ingenuous!

There are some obvious nicks and marks to the finish as shown in the photos - it’s been a well loved and used piece, with loads of time left!
