Vintage Thonet baby high chair bentwood with rattan cane seat and safety rail

Wonderful piece of history, the classic bentwood Thonet kids chair - still in really good condition considering it age. The seat cane is lovely and the warmth and deep colour of the wood is beautiful.

Not many are available still with the detachable guard at the front. Ingenuous and simple mechanism that locks it in place, but can be removed when needed.

There are some slight cracks to the frame as shown in photos - price reflects issues.

it is still pretty sturdy and strong, but for both its age and health and safety reasons we would not recommend it to be used as a current babies chair! More as a prop, cool object or set piece.
