Vintage Ikea style sling Pixi chair in manner of Gillis Lundgren 1970s scandi tubular frame

Tubular chrome plated steel with a canvas sling support, this is a classic look from the 1970s, comfy and with very simple construction enabling the upholstery to be refreshed easily and a low profile means it can suit a lot of interiors.

We see these sold everywhere as being the Pixi chair by Gillis Lundgren from the mid 1970s. Though these are very very similar, they have a different angle to the back and the tube has some connection points which aren't in the original.

The frame is strong and sturdy with only the odd mark or scrape, very little spots of patina or rusting.

The canvas sling has some small stains and signs of wear but is holding up well. The cushion that is with the chair I don't believe is original, as it is a little larger and has more filling than would seem to be right. It is incredibly comfy and the filling clearly still has a lot of life in it. Great to use as is, but also easy to refurbish as you wish.
