Made between 1941 and 1951 under the auspices of the CC41 Utility Furniture mandates that were installed during World War 2. Based on the classic barrister design of long doors that are lifted up to access the contents within.
Because they are made during the war, they used veneer and less expensive materials - they have however lasted well and still look great, we have sold lots of CC41 furniture but never anything as complex as these.
There are chips and marks to the finish as shown in the photos, they are not perfect - but they are sturdy and can be dismantled and stacked easily. There is a base unit and a top unit, the other two pieces can be removed entirely or stacked in the various different ways. Two cabinets are slightly taller.
Each piece is stamped and labelled on the reverse.
