1930s/40s era Oak gate leg extendable dining table

Charming and very useful dining table, beautifully made with nice simple hinges and fold out legs. Joints still look really good and the tone and grain of wood is very pretty.

Perfect for smaller spaces as it can fold and unfold easily and provides loads of seating space.

There is an historic fix to the bottom of one of the leaves where there seems to have been a split in the wood, but two metal bars have been expertly fitted to join the split and you can hardly see it.
There is a more recent bit of damage to the top of one of the leaves by the joint a slither has come away, must have caught on something - it’s smooth and won’t cause any further issues - all shown in the photos.

Otherwise the table is really nice it’s pretty solid considering it’s age and it’s construction, there is we believe some sun bleaching to one side so that one leaf is lighter than the other though the contrast isn’t that stark and it still looks lovely.
